A dramatic confrontation took place between two well-known but controversial molvis at the Jamia Hafsa near Lal Masjid in Islamabad.
In a video that quickly went viral, Maulana Abdul Aziz, with a gun in hand, barged into the office of Jamia Hafsa to kick out Mufti Abdul Qavi. Without any warning, Maulana Aziz orders Mufti Qavi to leave immediately, threatening to shoot him on the spot.
Mufti Abdul Qavi quickly stood up and exited the office, maintaining a composed demeanor as he talked on the phone and carried his drink. At the door, he paused to retrieve his shoes, while Maulana Aziz can be heard hurling severe accusations, branding Mufti Qavi a bully, tyrant, drunkard, and adulterer.
Maulana Aziz further called for the Muslim community to boycott Mufti Qavi entirely, stating that he deserves to be flogged and stoned to death.
