A young man in Kotri, identified as Farid Khan, son of Furqan Khan, allegedly jumped into the Indus River after being unable to marry the woman of his choice—a mother of three children. The incident occurred as Farid was returning home with his father on a motorcycle.
According to eyewitnesses, upon reaching the Kotri bridge, Farid suddenly got off the motorcycle and leapt into the river.
Rescue 1122 divers immediately launched a search operation, while Kotri police arrived at the scene to assist. Farid’s father stated that his son had been insistent on marrying the woman, and the two had been arguing about the matter during their journey home.
As of now, rescue teams are continuing their search for Farid Khan, who remains missing in the Indus River.
