PESHAWAR – A well-known transgender dancer, Shahab alias Wafa, was shot dead and her driver critically injured in a targeted attack in the Badraga area of Malakand’s Dargai tehsil, police reported on Monday.
The incident occurred as Wafa, a resident of Taro Jabba, was returning from a party when unidentified assailants opened fire on her car near Badraga.
Wafa died on the spot from a fatal gunshot wound, while the driver, Naveed, sustained serious injuries.
Levies officials have registered a case and launched an investigation to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
