Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chadda Bombs At The Box Office!

Maybe he might recover with overseas collections

Laal Singh Chadda

After so many high expectations from the Bollywood film ‘Laal Singh Chadda‘, the movie isn’t doing too well at the box office.

Word is that producer, Aamir Khan is unable to come to terms with the film’s failure. The Taaray Zameen Par maker worked on Laal Singh Chadda for 4 years. There were high expectations from the Forest Gump remake.

Rumor has it that cinema distributors are also asking him to return their money. Surprisingly, the movie witnessed a drop in collections on Independence Day. Despite the film being designed to capitalize on national holidays.

According to Indian Express, the film made Rs 11.70 cr on day one, Rs 7.26 cr on Friday, Rs 9 cr on Saturday, and Rs 10 cr on Sunday. With total collections now running around Rs 46 crore.

After his last box office bomb, the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan, this doesn’t spell to well for producer Aamir Khan. While that film’s box office performance began with a record-breaking opening, Laal Singh Chaddha five-day total is less than what Thugs of Hindostan made on opening day.

With a reported budget of Rs. 150 crores, this is said to be Aamir Khan’s worst flop since Mela. However, overseas collections might compensate. If the film makes it big in China alone, it can recover.
