The tweet has enraged the Hindu community and Aamir Liaquat is being called out for religious insensitivity. Twitteratis are furious at his actions and they want him to delete it and release an apology.

Netizens think that if he wanted to make fun of the opposition, he could have used a better, more decent way. But looking down at the Hindu community was below the belt. One netizen requested,

@AamirLiaquat Kindly delete it. I didn’t expect from you that you will lower your standards to a level to hurt other communities. There are so many options to relate to your opponents then why a Hindu diety. Giving respect is a basic ethics Sir. I request you to delete it.”

On Wednesday, Pakistan Hindu Council’s Patron-in-Chief, Dr. Ramesh Vankwani announced on social media that he condemns this act of religious insensitivity. If the so-called religious scholar does not delete the tweet and apologize for his misconduct, they will come out on the streets to protest against him.

“Strongly condemned this shameful act by someone who claims to be a religious scholar also but doesn’t know respect to other religions. Delete this tweet immediately otherwise we reserve right to demand strict action under the Blasphemy Act and protest across the country,” he wrote.

The PTI representative has neither responded to the accusations nor has he deleted the tweet. His actions have disappointed not only the Hindu community but the whole nation.
