Singer, philanthropist, and political member of PTI accidentally performs Fajr azaan in the evening at the Amr-bel-Maroof public gathering in Islamabad. The awkward moment is going viral all over social media.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) jalsa was a major event that has gripped the whole nation. While people discuss the political ramifications of PTI’s Amr-bel-Maroof public gathering, a video clip is making rounds all over social media.
The video is the recitation of azaan, a call to prayer for Magrib as it was evening. The azaan was performed by singer, philanthropist and PTI member Abrar-ul-Haq (though people did not see him performing the azaan live). Check it out, and see if you can spot what is wrong here?
People as well as netizen picked up on the singer mistakenly quoting “Assalat-o-Khairum’minannoun”. Which roughly translates to: “prayer is better than sleep”. This Arabic verse is reserved for only the morning prayer which is Fajr.
An awkward situation occurred during PTI’s Amr-bel-Maroof public gathering on Sunday as Pakistani singer and philanthropist Abrar-ul-Haq gave the Fajr azan at Maghrib time. Noticing the error, the prayer was called to a stop as Senator Faisal Javed gave the azaan all over again.
This kind of error made for an awkward moment that PTI would want their supporters to forget. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
