One of the accused in the Nimrita Kumari case, Mehran Abro stood second in his final year exams people are irked by the justice system. Based on the justice system how much accountability will there be going around?
Previously in the Nimrita Kumari rape and murder case, certain classmates were pinned as suspects. However, the inquiry could not provide clarity on naming those guilty.

While some people are bringing up the fact that one of the accused stood second in his final year BDS exams, there are lingering concerns that investigations in the case may have stalled.

Other reactions from netizens ranged from anger for the accused being allowed to sit in the exam. This raised another debate about how this case is not being taken seriously.
Given that this is social media, an Indian social media troll jumped in to use this incident to defend the Modi government’s controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019. He contended that the law will protect minority women like Nimrita. Of course, this law does not apply to Muslim immigrants (which is ironic). It should be mentioned that CAB will only apply to people who migrated to India till 2014.
Nimrita from Pakistan didn't get the chance to challenge the Pakistani establishment. She was tortured, raped and killed by her medical college mates for being a Sindhi Hindu. The CAB is an attempt to save the Nimritas of Pakistan. The same bill, these girls are opposing. https://t.co/ve7RxO0TFf

Background on Nimrita Kumari case
Mehran Abro was taken into police custody shortly after a rape and homicide investigation was launched into the mysterious death of final year BDS student Nimritra Chandani. He and another classmate Ali Shan Memon are being probed in the case.
Even after an autopsy proved that Nimrita Kumari was indeed raped and then murdered, there have been no follow-ups. Authorities even have DNA to pursue a suspect.
Activist Punhal Sario, who held a hunger strike for Nimrita, asked why the culprit is not being pursued despite DNA evidence.
Punhal Sario theorized that the police must be reluctant due to the involvement of a powerful person. This theory has been going around since the beginning in the Nimrita Kumari case.

Police Blames Nimrita’s Friends for ‘Damaging the Evidence’
Two weeks ago, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana, Masood Bangash said the police will conclude their investigation into the Nimrita Kumari case within a week.
Masood Bangash also highlighted the poor quality of evidence sent to police caused hurdles in a proficient investigation of the case. He blamed the friends of Nimrita Kumari for damaging the evidence.
Yet there was still no word of progress on the strongest evidence the police should go by, the DNA test. This further fueled the theory that police were part of a cover-up.
People also fear authorities are waiting on people to forget this case.
Will take a day or two for them to forget it. Thats why the govt is just plain silent too. No one remembers Nimrita, that hindu girl who was trending a lot…
