The 18th edition of Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week (PHBCW) was a huge success and considering the fact that the organizers took a risk to hold a grand event right after COVID, it was actually very challenging, but everything turned out great.
On the last day of the Bridal Couture Week 2021, Ali Xeeshan presented his collection Numaish – A pledge against the old-age tradition of Dowry. In an effort to educate the society to say no to dowry, Ali Xeeshan launched a bridal collection. He walked the ramp with his wife Myra and stole the limelight of the event. The designer also made a video, highlighting the issue and shared it on social media.
“Shedding light on the epochal and alarming issue of families fretting over saving money for their daughters’ dowry (Jahez) instead of their education that is far more important. It’s time to put a stop to this overburdening tradition!”
