Actress Amar Khan wants Pakistan to have a director like Bollywood’s Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 2023. Case in point, she is a big fan of his recent film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The actress went on a Twitter rant about Pakistan’s “male-dominated” industry and said,
Rab kare 2023 mein koi aik adh Bhansali border k is paar bhi janam le. Warna we have never made a female oriented commercially succesful film. They continue to be male centric!! :/

While it is true that most of the biggest blockbusters from the Pakistani film industry are male-centric, Amar Khan believes that Pakistan will “never make a female oriented commercially successful film” without Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which is factually incorrect.
Can't argue about the scale (because of the much bigger Indian market) but (the master story teller) Shoaib Mansoor's Bol is a much greater female centric film.

The Dum Mastam star carelessly glossed over several commercially successful films with female leads that tweeps were quick to point out. One wrote,
Amar, how can you forget Kamli made by Sarmad Khoosat, which is purely a female-centric and a box office hit.
Amar, how can you forget #Kamli made by sarmad khoosat which is purely a female centric & a box office hit also… & we have already made many successful n blockbuster dramas revolving around strong women which they have never…

Here are a few successful female-centric films from Pakistan:
It seems like Amar Khan needs to pay more attention to the Pakistani film industry which is making giant strides toward creating more engaging content instead of going off on a rant about some Indian director across the border.
