Amir Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s Dil is getting a reboot. Indra Kumar revealed that the remake will be titled Dil Again.
Bollywood is seeing a lot of remakes recently with Amar, Akbar and Anthony and Ek Ladki Ko Deekha Tou Aisa Laga getting reboots.
Dil Gets Reboot
Now even the 90s romantic hit Dil is in line to get a reboot. Since it is a remake and not a sequel, we may not get to see the original cast make an appearance.
Word is that film-maker Indra Kumar is looking for actors to fill in the roles.
His current project Total Dhamaal is set to release on February, 22nd.
More Remakes Are Incoming
In other news on Bollywood’s wave of remakes, rumor has it that reboots of Pati Patni Aur Woh, Coolie No. 1 and Ram Lakhan are also in the cards or pipeline. Even Chupke Chupke is getting another remake.

While many in Bollywood are onboard with this reboot trend, some are not. It is obvious that a majority is onboard with reboots given the sheer amount of remakes in the cards.
Others like screenwriter Mayank Tewari, feel that filmakers should not try to fix what isn’t broken. Recreating the same hype with a script that is not contemporary to audiences and current trends can be rough. Case in point, people now call out Belle in Beauty and the Beast for having Stockholm syndrome.
