While many public figures might be the center of controversy in a state governed by law, violence should never occur. Unfortunately, journalist Syed Iqrar-ul-Hassan was attacked under similar circumstances and the Internet is shocked.
The Sar-e-Aam host and team were attacked and badly beaten. Who has beef with the host and his team? Allegedly, it was the Director of Information Bureau, Syed Mohiuddin Rizwan, and his team that attacked the journalists.
Their motives for doing so is payback for Syed Iqrar-ul-Hassan and his team exposing an IB officer’s corruption with video proofs.
Following the attack, the anchor was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Karachi where he was given first aid. He is out of danger now according to the doctors.
Waseem Badami posted a video of the fellow ARY News anchor explaining that one of his shoulders is dislocated. He also fractured a rib and had an abnormal ECG report as he was given electric shocks.
His friends were present to support him as the anchor sat up and chatted with them despite being injured.

Apparently, the government of Sindh has taken notice of the incident and suspended the accused in this ordeal.

The crime show host is now home. Meanwhile, there is no update on the other members of the Sar-e-Aam team that were also attacked.

Normally in such cases, the plaintiff identifies the accused and Police has to take action as per law. Let us see if the courts are willing to punish a high ranking govt. official and his accomplices for the criminal charges that are allegedly levelled against them.
