Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Reunite After Almost 20 Years!

They had fun as the bickering couple.

Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor team up again after almost two decades for Total Dhamaal. The last time the two were an on-screen couple was back in 2000 for Call. The two did briefly share the screen together in Lajja in 2001 as well.

Madhuri Dixit will return to our screens after a long hiatus in Total Dhamaal. The actress still feels as young as she looks. It seems like time really didn’t pass as far as she is concerned.

‘I thought that was a great idea. It gives both of us something different to do.’

Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit in a Comedy Movie

The actress was glad to be doing a comedy movie rather than the romantic films she’s known for. Madhuri will be playing Bindu in the film, while Anil plays her husband Avinash.

The two are not your average obnoxiously cute on-screen couple. The two have are constantly bickering and locking horns. That part sounds hilarious (anyone winning against Madhuri? We got to see it to believe it).

“It’s different. People aren’t used to seeing us like that and I like that. Anil was like, ‘Are you sure she’s going to do it?’. I was like, ‘Are you sure he’s going to do it?’

They Enjoyed Working Together

The two had a ball working together after nearly two decades. Madhuri described it as wonderful. She also had a nice, warm feeling about the whole experience.

She mentioned that she had never laughed so much on set before. With Total Dhamaal cast members like Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi in the mix, that’s not surprising at all.

Here’s a song from Total Dhamaal that features both the co-stars:

Total Dhamaal Release Date

Total Dhamaal is scheduled for release on February, 22, 2019.

We wonder if we get to see Madhuri’s comedy streak continue. Her next film Kalank will be alongside a superstar from her era, who is none other than Sanjay Dutt. Kalank cast also includes some aspiring stars of B-Town such as Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.

Kalank is scheduled to hit theaters in April, 2019.
