Another Harassment Scandal Emerges Against Punjab Police

Things aren’t looking good for Punjab police as another scandal has surfaced against them. A female university student has come forth with allegations of harassment and misconduct by police officials in Lahore.

ARY News reports that the Lahore police personnel allegedly harassed the girl at a hotel. In a video statement, the university student, Kinza, said that she had booked a room at a local hotel in Lahore.

At around 2:30 am, police chowki in-charge, Arshad Bhatti, along with other police officials arrived at the hotel and knocked on the door of her room.

Kinza asserts that two other policemen forced their way into entered her room and began asking pointless questions. She added that the officials used abusive language towards her.

Meanwhile, she also alleged Arshad Bhatti began harassing her by forcing her to go outside the hotel with him. She added that the police officer also forced her to give him her phone number.

The young girl is demanding that concerned authorities take notice of the incident and provide her justice. Following her video online, Inspector General Punjab took notice of the incident and sought an inquiry report about the incident from CCPO Lahore.

Another Gujranwala ASI, Mubashir was accused of raping a 15-year-old. She later withdrew her case but the public finds the circumstances of the withdrawal suspicious.
