Anoushey Ashraf Pens Down A Heartfelt Note For Afghanistan

The VJ shares throwback clicks from her earlier visit to the war-torn country

VJ Anoushey Ashraf has a heartfelt note for the people of Afghanistan. The showbiz star took to Instagram to share some memorable throwback clicks from her 2016 visit to the war-torn country.

 

Anoushey Ashraf is a very popular showbiz figure of Pakistan. The VJ and actress has made a name for herself during her time at MTV Pakistan. She began her career as a VJ for Indus Music.

 

 

The 37-year-old is famous for being an outspoken celebrity. Recently, Anoushey shared throwback clicks from her trip to Afghanistan.

 

 

The country is going through a turbulent time since the Taliban takeover of Kabul. While everyone is giving their “two cent” on the situation, Anoushey decided to write a heartfelt note.

 

 

“I was lucky to visit Kabul, Herat, Mazar Sharif etc. for a TV show in 2016,” the former VJ wrote in the caption. “On this trip I met girls who wanted to cycle for the Olympics, boys who only wanted to be the next Messi. They were exactly like you and me. And today, they’re helpless, homeless and abandoned.”

 

 

Anoushey urges people to stop the hate. The former VJ emphasizes on the importance of humanity and prayed for Afghan people in this time of crisis.

 

 

As for the Talibans, Anoushey asks people to not hail them as heroes or villains just yet.

 

 

“The Taliban says they’re ready to evolve and give women and children their rights,” she wrote. “They’ve said they have learned from the past. Only time will tell. Reaching out to all my Afghan friends tonight, you are in my prayers. Humanity first.”
