Armeena Khan just shut down an infamous ‘Islamic’ preacher on Twitter. The Canadian-Pakistani actress proved that she does not hold back against anyone who tries to make a fool of others.
It all started when this so-called ‘Islamic scholar’ opposed a television presenter Katie Hopkins for her ‘typical British supremacist views’. It should be mentioned that the pro-Brexit Hopkins is no saint herself, regularly spews hatred against all things ethnic and immigrant in the UK. This time around, her target was Muslims.

The former Apprentice 2007 contestant (who is also Trump’s acquaintance) bashed the UK authorities for funding Shamima Begum’s appeal, and for punishing a British soldier. For those who are not aware, Shamima Begum was one of those ISIS brides who went to Syria to support the fight. She, like many other Muslim females, were hoodwinked into joining ISIS’ conflict. She realized it and returned back home to UK. Her case has become a political lightning rod for far-right supporters, who use her example to hound Muslims in UK.
As for Katie, here she is indulging in classic whataboutery, with two entirely different cases that have no connection with each other. She equates a UK solider who committed war crimes in Northern Island with a woman against whom they have no real evidence of commiting terrorist acts.  No wonder many people call Katie ‘Britain’s Queen of Hate’.

Coming back to the story, this so called ‘Imam of Peace’ Muhamad Tawhidi tried to play the neutral umpire here. Instead of challenging Katie over her hateful views, he decided to go after someone who actually did.

Enter Armeena Khan
It was none other than Pakistani-Canadian actress Armeena Khan who decided to set this phony straight. She pointed out the flawed rationale he was using to make his argument. The crux of her argument? Two wrongs really don’t make a right.

Maybe he saw Sherdil, and assumed that stereotype about all Pakistanis hating Jews (which is quite a leap by the way). In either case, his one-track mind lost all semblance of logic.
The man is propagating hate against Pakistani Muslims, despite his self-given moniker of being the ‘Imam of Peace’.
Armeena then made it clear she’s Canadian (she can’t vote in Pakistan, so don’t blame her) and brought the focus back to the hate-mongering ‘Imam.’
