While there is a lot of hate on social media, another phenomenon that emerged is ‘toxic positivity’. So Pakistani actress Armeena Rana Khan is calling out how problematic that is.
While the Sherdil actress often slams people for spreading negativity online, she is also wary of people who only post only positive things. In an Instagram story, the Janaan actress talked about the ratio between negativity and toxic positivity.
“Be wary of people who spread negativity only but by the same token, be cautious around those who only post about colour, rainbows, stars and unicorns.”
She asserted the importance of struggles as a human being and that’s okay.
“You’re allowed to feel, process and find solutions. Don’t let toxic positivity bring you down either — Yes, it is a thing.”
A very vocal celeb, Armeena Rana Khan has often asserted her right to put out her opinions, particularly on social media. She said how she has just as much a right to be vocal as the users who have the right not to consume those opinions.
On the work front, she was last seen in the drama serial Mohabbatein Chahatein alongside Hira Mani and Junaid Khan. Since then she’s been MIA from our screens.
