Arshad Warsi Wants a Boycott on Chinese Products, Gets Trolled for Using iPhone

Well the iPhone was made in China so……..

Arshad Warsi - Circuit

Arshad Warsi AKA ‘Circuit‘ from Munna Bhai MBBS tried pulling out the patriot card amid the Sino-India border conflict. However, the Bollywood actor was trolled for his attempt at patriotism.

India and China are currently in the midst of a stand-off over Ladakh. The former part of Indian Occupied Kashmir was turned into a Union Territory after the special status of Jammu and Kashmir was abrogated with Article 370.

Meaning now the region is directly governed by the Indian central government. Ladakh was a disputed region between India and China. Now China wants to take over the place like India did if they no longer respecting the disputed status of the region.

So Arshad Warsi thought now is a good time to declare his voluntary, self-observed boycott of all things ‘Made in China’.

This was all good, but he tweeted this with his iPhone of all the things. See where this is going?

Assuming that this is another Bollywood actor who is playing the patriot for attention, many netizens brutally trolled Warsi.

Sino-India Border Dispute

There are around 20 areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China that are claimed by both sides. Most prominent would be Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh which China claims as its Southern Tibet.

There was even a war in 1962 over the region, however, the dispute could not be resolved.

This has led to various military activities in these areas by the Indian Army and the People’s Liberation Army. Previously in 2014, PLA troops camped in Ladakh for several days during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to India.

However, the disputed status is visible on Google maps from other countries as both the Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC) remain dotted lines.
