Netizens have called Bollywood and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan of copying 25 major scenes from more than 15 Hollywood films.
A Reddit user alleges that Pathaan has cheaply ripped off scenes from blockbuster Hollywood franchises such as The Avengers, Fast and Furious, King Kong, Captain America, Iron Man, The Batman, and Mission Impossible to name a few.
The video, which has gone viral on social media, highlights the striking similarities between the scenes from the Hollywood movies and Pathaan.
That’s not all! Pathaan went above and beyond taking “inspiration” from the cartoon series Jackie Chan Adventures (2000) and the video game Uncharted.

Following the video, netizens took to social media to express their shock and disappointment at the alleged plagiarism. Many criticized Shah Rukh Khan and Bollywood for being unoriginal and uninspired, with some even going as far as to say that the Indian film industry lacks creativity.
This is not the first time that Bollywood and Shah Rukh Khan have been called out for copying Hollywood. In the past, there have been several instances where Bollywood movies have been accused of lifting scenes and storylines from Hollywood films.
However, despite the controversy, Pathaan has turned out to be a massive box-office success. The film, which was released on January 25th, has grossed over $130 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, and the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
