Looks like rocker Avril Lavigne is getting her happily ever after as singer Mod Sun proposed to her in Paris.
The Dared to Love punk rocker Avril Lavigne said yes to her boyfriend of one year on March 27th, in Paris after just over a year of dating each other. Fans of the couple flocked to congratulate the couple on their engagement news as they announced it on their Instagram handles on Thursday.
As the Lovestruck singer, Lavigne posted a series of pictures from the milestone moment, fans congratulated the duo.
“Oui! Je t’aime pour toujours. Dimanche. 27. Mars. 2022, (Yes! I love you forever. Sunday, March 27, 2022.)”
Aside from the uber-romantic holiday destination, Sun Mod popped the question with beautiful heart-shaped rock.
In a conversation with People after the proposal, Avril Lavigne shared more details about the rock on her finger.
“It has the words ‘Hi Icon’ engraved in it, which were the first words he ever said to me. And it has Mod + Avril on the inside, … He knew from the very beginning I wanted a heart-shaped diamond because on the day we met, we had matching heart-shaped paved rings on. We’ve worn them every day since, so it’s only fitting to have a heart-shaped engagement ring. I love it so much.”
She also shared details of the perfect proposal in Paris.
“It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for. We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River. We had a violin player, champagne and roses. It felt like time stood still, and it was just the two of us in the moment.”

The couple started dating a year ago while collaborating on the Rock and Roll singer’s breakup album, Love Sux. She was previously married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2009. Later she tied the knot with Nickelback rocker Chad Kroeger in 2013 and split after two years of marriage.
