Do you think she deserved the hate?

Promoting one’s self is a not allowed at the Burning Man festival, but clearly someone forgot to mention this to our ‘Bulbulay’ star Ayesha Omar.

The Burning Man is an annual festival that takes place in the United States at Black Rock City, in the northwest Nevada. The late summer event is one of a kind experiment in art and community, bringing together people from all around the world to nurture, protect and guide a community that is created by its culture.

Ayesha Omar and her recent controversy

People who attend the event must abide by the ten main principles: radical self-reliance, radical inclusion, radical self-expression, civic responsibility, communal effort, immediacy, participation, leave no trace, gifting and most importantly decommodification.

One of the attendees was our very own ‘Khoobsurat’ aka Ayesha Omar, who couldn’t help but jump at the opportunity to strike a pose with Burning Man in the backdrop.

The actress uploaded her photoshoot on Instagram. In doing so, she violated the Burning Man principles of decommodification.

Things didn’t go as Ayesha would have hoped for as people were quick to call her out for blatantly violating the event’s cardinal rules.

The ‘Jhanda’ bike, the ‘rilli’ print choli and the Jinnah cap inspired headwear couldn’t save the actress from being trolled on Instagram as many of the people were upset at her for failing to understand the whole point of the Burning Man event.

People tried to explain to Ayesha about the rules and principles of Burning Man, but the actress kept on uploading more posts of the event.

Despite all the hate and negative outpour, the actress has refrained from responding and its unlikely that she will take down her post anytime soon. In fact, Ayesha Omar has blocked all comments from her post.
