The daughter of Pakistan’s former President, Asif Ali Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto,
just became a mother for the second time. Sharing the happy news with her fans and followers, she revealed her newborn son’s name — Mir Sijawal Mahmood Choudhry.
She explained his namesake in an Instagram note:
Named by and after his Nana Baba: Sij is Sindhi for Sun ☀ Sijawal means the Rising Sun
She also captioned the post with a little prayer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful. May this name be a blessing for him and bring him good health and fortune. O Allah, make him a child of compassion and love. Guide him on the path of our beloved Prophet Muhammad and spread his light of wisdom and benevolence in this world.
The daughter of former Prime Minister, the late Benazir Bhutto, announced the arrival of her second child in an Instagram post on 5 October.
She also posted an animated photo of her firstborn, Mir Hakim, becoming a big brother, and described it as a déjà vu moment as her eldest was also born in October last year.
The federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also announced the birth of his nephew in a tweet.
