Daughter to late former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Bakhtawar will tie the knot next month. According to details, the pair will be wedded on January 29, 2021. The invitations for the Nikkah ceremony have already been dispatched to the guests by Asif Ali Zardari and arrangements are in the works.
On November 28, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari got engaged to Mahmood Chaudhry at Bilawal House in Karachi. The ceremony was a fairy-tale event and the couple wore traditional oriental attires on their big day.
Bakhtawar’s dress and embroidered shawl had netizens swooning over the details. Just recently, she revealed that the intricate details of her shawl showcased her childhood memories with her mother.
“I really wanted my mother to be part of this very special moment,” she wrote.
“The design of the shawl is divided into three chapters (two pallus) telling two different stories. One side is embroidered with images and childhood memories of us growing up in Islamabad and the other side captures the start of my next chapter in life where a scene is set where the groom can be seen arriving with a ring and preparations are in place for the engagement event.”
