American supermodel Isabella Khair Hadid, popularly known as Bella Hadid has condemned the murder of Mohammad Anwar, the Pakistani immigrant who got murdered last Tuesday in Washington.

The 66-year-old victim had immigrated to Springfield, Virginia in 2014. Since then, he had worked hard to make a living. Last week, while he was doing his job as an UberEats driver, he was assaulted by two teenage girls who attempted to hijack his car.

The teenage girls aged 13 and 15 have been charged with a felony, murder, and armed carjacking.

Among many who condemned the murder, supermodel Bella Hadid also took to her Instagram stories and shared a heartfelt message to mourn the death of Mohammad Anwar.

She wrote:

“This is devastating. God bless him and his family. No one, and I mean no one should ever have to endure this, especially while doing their job.”

In a statement, an Uber spokesperson said,

“We are devastated by this tragic news and our hearts go out to Mohammad’s family during this difficult time. We’re grateful the suspects have been arrested and thank the Metropolitan Police Department for their diligence with this investigation.”

The accused teens used a taser on Mohammad Anwar amid the carjacking. The Pakistani-American man wedged himself between a car door and the driver’s seat as the two teenagers, who were inside the car, set the gear into drive.
