7 Upcoming Pakistani Dramas That Are Going to Rule in 2019

Pakistani drama serials are still going strong and 2019 promises to be more exciting in this regard.

We’ve got a lot to look forward to this year, from historical serials like Aangan to those that focus on some of the most pressing social issues in our society.

We have complied a list of top 7 upcoming drama serials to watch out for in 2019.

1. Cheekh

The serial will star Saba Qamar opposite Bilal Abbas Khan. It’s been said that Fahad Mustafa will be directing this one.

The serial seems to be oriented towards women’s issues. The teaser trailer didn’t reveal much though but given all the star power behind it, this one will keep us glued to the screen no doubt.

2. Kaisa Hain Naseebaan

This serial, which is set in Malaysia and Pakistan, will cast Ramsha Khan opposite Muneeb Butt. The drama is being directed by Ahmed Bhatti.

This drama will take a look at the issue of domestic abuse. It will also focus on general trends related to arranged marriages.

3. Alif

Featuring Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sajal Ali and Kubbra Khan, the serial is based on a romantic novel by Umera Ahmed.

4. Aangan

This Hum TV drama has cast Sajal Ali, Mawra Hocane, Ehsan Khan and Ahad Raza Mir, as well as Sonia Hussain.

This historical drama will give us a look at the struggles related to the partition of the subcontinent. It will also focus on the dilemma of heartbreak.

5. Deedan

The serial has cast the talented Sanam Saeed alongside Mohib Mirza. Director Amin Iqbal is set to highlight the issues that almost always arise due to a mismatch between traditions and cultures when one moves onto a new country.

The drama is set to feature Hira Mani alongside Affan Waheed. The writers of the show have mentioned that Aseer-e-Mohabbat will come with a new twist on the ever intriguing love triangle plot.

7. Maryam Parera

This drama will feature actress Sadia Khan who we know and love from Khuda Aur Mohabat, along with Ehsan Khan and the veteran Ayub Khosa.

What seems like a love story on the outside is the tale of many girls hailing from minority groups. Fingers crossed for this one.
