Shaan Shahid, the veteran actor from Waar, recently shared his views on PTV broadcasting the Turkish TV show Diriliş: Ertuğrul. Some of his fans support and agreed with him with the notion that Pakistani channels should promote their own Pakistani shows and films instead of Turkish ones. However, there were also those who opposed his views.
Showbiz stars Bilal Ashraf and Asad Siddiqui also showed their love and support for the show. Unlike Shaan, they believe that art is and should be boundless, and one should take it as it is and give appreciation where needed.
Art is art. There’s no harm in promoting someone’s hard work and influence with the world. Any person’s creativity should not be restrained by borders. Had that been the case, things like K-Pop and Japanese anime would never have expanded to become a global phenomenon.
Bilal Ashraf loves Diriliş: Ertuğrul
Bilal Ashraf took to his Twitter account to share his views on the matter. He wrote,

The Superstar actor knows the importance of promoting local productions, but it seems like he is not ashamed of giving credit and praise where required.
Chhalawa actor, Asad Siddiqui also shares similar opinions to the ones Bilal presented. He wrote,
I really hope that if not anyone, then I myself will make such a tv show like #ErtugrulGhazi and the sequel #KurulusOsman where the teachings of Islam are being projected along with the history of the Muslim world. Started watching it in 2018 and still not over it.

It seems that Asad has been a fan of the Turkish epic historical television shows for a long time, even before these shows gained massive global popularity that it enjoys today.
