Bill Gates Waits in a Line to Get His Burger, Just Like the Rest of Us

One of the world’s richest men is… so down to earth?

We in Pakistan are a generally impatient lot. We tend to break a lot of traffic rules to get to our destination come what may (except getting ready in time that is). We also tend to break through a long queue so that we could be served first, who cares if there’s a lot of people behind you?

If that is you, perhaps this recent example by one of the world’s richest men may make you reevaluate your attitude.

What Did Bill Gates do?

Recently, Bill Gates, who needs no introduction here, got hungry like the rest of us (he’s human after all). He decided to stop for a hamburger at Dick’s Drive-In in Seattle.

As billionaires go, you couldn’t be able to tell Bill was one, if his face wasn’t that well known. Clad in a nondescript maroon sweater and grey pants, he got off his car.

All that is fine and dandy, but what happened next will make you respect the billionaire philanthropist even more.

Instead of emulating some of the moneyed, entitled waderas and VIPs we have on our side of the world, the dude just….. waited in line for his Deluxe burger like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Don’t believe us? This picture by Facebook user Mike Galos is all you need to see today:

Here’s what Mike’s post said:

“When you’re worth about $100,000,000,000, run the largest charity in the history of the world and stand in line for a burger, fries and Coke at Dick’s like the rest of us.”

Social Media is all praise about Billy G’s conduct at the drive-in

Bill Gates drew universal praise from people from all around the world.

If you can imagine Bill Gates in a line and waiting for his turn, then you can do it too. Perhaps we might not be all billionaires like him, but this is something we can do as decent human beings.
