A video showing armed individuals in tactical gear storming a seminar at Bahria University Karachi has gone viral, causing concern among viewers. The footage, captured by a student, depicts shots being fired and chaos in the auditorium, with one presenter seen lying on stage.

Despite the alarming scenes, there is no need for panic. The incident was actually a mock drill conducted by the Sindh Police’s Special Security Unit (SSU). The bullets being fired were blanks as they only produce a lot of noise but no damage at all.

The exercise was designed to demonstrate tactical procedures to Bahria University students, who were both surprised and impressed by the realistic display.

University officials confirmed that the drill was part of an interactive seminar aimed at educating students about security protocols. The event left many students in awe, turning an ordinary day on campus into a memorable experience.

However, some unaware students were hilariously left traumatized by the scenes as people gave their honest reactions online.

The Special Security Unit (SSU) is a specialized counterterrorism and security force within the Sindh Police. Based in Karachi, the SSU’s operational jurisdiction covers the entire Sindh province. Established in 2010 in response to rising terrorism, the unit reports to the Inspector General of Sindh Police, with DIGP Security/Commandant Mr. Maqsood Ahmed as its founding head.
