Captain America is ‘Not Done with Marvel’

Or so Joe Russo would have us believe.

After the recent Avengers: Infinity War, it was made pretty clear that the Captain was gonna put down his shield. Actor Chris Evans revealed that his contract with Marvel Studios was for six films and that Avengers: Infinity Wars was the sixth film.

While most of us are in rejection mode after Chris Evans previously went as far as to say ‘he’s done with Captain America,’ maybe its time to get our hopes up again.

This isn’t false hope because Infinity War director Joe Russo gave us a hint that he’s not done yet.

“I think it was more emotional for him than it was us because he’s not done yet. I won’t explain what that means but fans will soon understand what I’m talking about.”

Is Cap Coming Back?

So what does that mean? We can only speculate with the shards of hope Russo gave us.

Although Chris Evans has himself said that he we wasn’t signing a contract for Marvel’s Phase Four movies, maybe he changed his mind?

“You have to get off the train before they push you off”

This better be the real deal and not be your vision as a director Joe. During the same interview, Joe did give us some hints regarding Avengers 5, like that helps.

What About Avengers 5?

Russo said there will be a mega crossover film down the road, how far that road goes he didn’t tell.

Russo also assumed that there was a possibility that he would be incorporating X-Men characters in the MCU. He says that he has yet to speak with Kevin Feige about it. Kevin, as Marvel fans would have you know, is the architect behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we think he may have the final word regarding the inclusion of Marvel’s merry mutants in the MCU. After all, Marvel did get the rights back from Fox to X-Men and the Fantastic Four earlier this year

Though in Antman and the Wasp (2018), we hear the original Wasp say that she ‘evolved.’ Does that mean that she’s a mutant, because mutants are the consequence of evolution.

Whoa, maybe this could prove to be the stepping stone for the Avengers-X-Men crossover Joe was talking about? One can hope.
