Following the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India, viral social media star Chahat Fateh Ali Khan released a “patriotic” tribute to the Pakistan Army titled “Meray Watan Meray Chaman.” The song, accompanied by a low-budget greenscreen video on YouTube, quickly went viral—but not for the reasons he might have hoped.
With an annoying beat and irritating vocals, the cringeworthy anthem sparked a wave of online trolling. Viewers flooded the comments with sarcastic and savage remarks, many jokingly asking India to bomb the singer instead of the country.
Without further ado, here is the official music video:
Some reactions included jokes about playing the song at the border to scare the enemy away, while others suggested a missile strike on Chahat himself. One user quipped that the song was so bad it could make soldiers give up, while another said it made them want to leave Pakistan for India.
One user summed up the anthem as “Jawano ka jaazba khatam krne wala song.” While another joked that this song is the reason why India’s S400 Air Defense System stopped working.
Despite all the harsh comments, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan took every joke in stride, leaving a like on every comment under his latest YouTube video.
