Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Gets Delayed Indefinitely

Sad news for cinema fans.

TENET

Bad news for Christopher Nolan fans, as the hugely anticipated sci-fi thriller Tenet will not be releasing on August 12. The film’s studio Warner Bros. has removed Christopher Nolan’s potentially big summer blockbuster from its release calendar.

The removal of Tenet comes as a major blow to the cinema industry as theatres had hoped to reopen during the late summer. Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller was one of the major releases fans had hoped to see on the big screen.

This isn’t the first time that the film’s release has been postponed or rescheduled. Initially, Tenet was supposed to release on July 17, then it moved to July 31 and then August 12.

Once again, the film’s release has been postponed. This is mainly due to public safety as the coronavirus pandemic is still not under control. With no vaccine available yet, the threat of the virus’s spread is still there.

As for the next release date for Tenet, Warner Bros. has stated that they will announce it ‘imminently’.

“We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature,” said Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich in a statement.

Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theatre partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen.

However, in what may be good news for some, Tenet will release overseas before the US. Stay posted for more updates.
