This tractor escapade was part of the launch of the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) in the Cholistan region, aimed at revolutionizing agriculture and providing much-needed support to farmers.
Madam Chief Minister opted for a parrot green tractor as it went nicely with her dark green outfit. She put on her aviator shades and cruised through the ceremony.
The event took place in the Kandai and Chapu areas of Cholistan, attended by a host of dignitaries, including federal ministers and senior provincial officials.
Additionally, a 5,000-acre Smart Agri Farm will utilize a high-efficiency irrigation system to maximize crop yield while minimizing costs. The Agri Research and Facilitation Centre will provide essential technical support, including soil testing, in collaboration with research institutions across the country.
During her address, CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized that agriculture is the “lifeline of Pakistan,” and she expressed her enthusiasm for the GPI, stating it would usher in a new era for Punjab’s farmers.
She also took a moment to honor the families of martyred soldiers and war-wounded veterans by handing over land allotment letters.
