Controversy King Rajab Butt Faces New Heat in Lahore Crackdown

Pakistani TikToker and YouTuber Rajab Butt, no stranger to headlines, has landed in hot water yet again, this time for a traffic violation in Lahore.

On July 7, 2025, Dolphin Force officials stopped Butt’s car at Thokar Niaz Baig as part of a citywide crackdown on vehicles with illegal black-tinted windows. The incident, led by DSP Mubashir Awan, saw authorities remove black sheets from Butt’s car windows, citing a breach of traffic regulations.

The latest run-in with the law adds to a string of controversies that have kept the social media star in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons over the past year.

While the tinted windows incident may seem minor compared to Butt’s past scandals, it underscores his knack for attracting attention. The influencer, boasting 4.56 million YouTube subscribers and 1.1 million Instagram followers, has built a massive following with family vlogs and flashy lifestyle content, but his off-screen antics have increasingly overshadowed his online persona.

The past six months have been a whirlwind of controversies for Butt. In May 2025, a viral video allegedly showed him and associates assaulting a young man on Thokar Niaz Baig Road, sparking outrage online. The victim filed a complaint at Satu Katla Police Station, but Butt issued a public apology, calling the incident a “misunderstanding.” The parties reconciled, and the request for legal action was withdrawn, though the episode left a dent in Butt’s reputation.

More serious allegations surfaced in June 2025, when an FIR was filed at Nawab Town Police Station against Butt and his cousin Salman Haider. A female social media activist accused Haider of rape, blackmail, and unlawful confinement, claiming Butt aided in locking her and her sister in a room. Both were granted bail, but the case remains under investigation, casting a dark shadow over Butt’s career.

Perhaps the most explosive controversy came in March 2025, when Butt launched a perfume named “295,” referencing Section 295 of Pakistan’s Penal Code, which deals with blasphemy—a deeply sensitive issue in the country.

The move, inspired by Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s song of the same name, triggered widespread outrage and led to an FIR under the PECA Act and Section 295-A. Facing up to 10 years in prison, Butt issued an apology from Makkah, holding a Quran and vowing to discontinue the product. Despite his plea, the backlash forced him to leave Pakistan temporarily.

Adding to his legal woes, Butt was arrested in January 2025, just a day after his lavish wedding, for illegally possessing a lion cub and displaying weapons. The wedding itself drew criticism for its ostentatious cash-throwing spectacle. Released on bail, Butt committed to producing animal rights content to avoid jail time, but the incident further fueled his controversial image.

Even his business ventures haven’t escaped scrutiny. Earlier this year, Butt, alongside YouTubers Ducky Bhai and Nadeem Nani Wala, launched an online course-selling website, only to face brutal trolling from fans who pointed out that similar courses are freely available on YouTube. The venture was mocked as a cash grab, adding to Butt’s growing list of public missteps.

Despite the scandals, Butt’s massive online following suggests he retains a loyal fanbase. Whether he can pivot from controversy to redemption—or if his legal battles will overshadow his career—remains to be seen. For now, Rajab Butt’s saga continues to captivate Pakistan’s social media landscape, proving that in the world of influencers, drama is never far behind.
