Social media sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, whose quirky rendition of Noor Jehan’s classic “Bado Badi” catapulted him to viral fame, has taken a bold step into the world of education with the launch of his Chahat Fateh Ali Khan Academy in Lahore, the cultural heart of Punjab.
The academy, which opened its doors on July 7, 2025, aims to nurture aspiring artists by offering training in both singing and acting, promising a unique platform for Pakistan’s next generation of entertainers.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, born Kashif Rana, is no stranger to the spotlight. His unconventional singing style, often described as “so-bad-it’s-good,” has divided audiences but earned him a dedicated fan base across Pakistan and beyond.
His remake of “Bado Badi,” which racked up over 20 million YouTube views, turned him into an internet phenomenon, with celebrities and influencers alike jumping on the trend. Now, the British-Pakistani entertainer is channeling his fame into a passion project designed to empower budding talent.
Speaking to the media, Chahat emphasized the academy’s mission to provide structured learning for those who dream of a career in showbiz. “God has given me the talent to entertain and make music for the people,” he said. “The purpose behind this academy is to give opportunities to emerging artists who have passion but lack proper training.”
Located in Lahore, the Chahat Fateh Ali Khan Academy is a dual-purpose institute offering courses in singing and acting. A standout feature is its focus on language and speech training, with Chahat stressing the importance of mastering pronunciation and expression. “The first step in acting is to have a good command over Punjabi, Urdu, and English,” he explained, noting that these skills are essential for success in Pakistan’s multilingual entertainment industry.
Whether it produces the next big star or simply adds to Chahat’s colorful career, one thing is certain: Pakistan’s entertainment landscape just got a lot more interesting.
