The ‘Dananeer vs. Zara Naeem’ debate on Twitter has us all astonished – how are these two girls comparable? Netizens have broken havoc on social media by pitting the two girls against each other. Who deserves the spotlight more? Who can be titled a better, more hardworking woman? Are these two even the least bit similar?
Who is Dananeer Mobeen?
Dananeer Mobeen, or famously known as the ‘pawri ho rahi hai’ girl, is a social media influencer. She is a new vlogger who has received a massive fan-following after posting a viral video. The 19-year-old has been quite active on her Instagram account- as well as her 1-year-old YouTube channel.
Let’s take a look at the video that broke the internet:
This video led to thousands of memes and renditions – even Indian musician Yashraj Mukhate picked it up and added his own twist to ‘pawri ho rahi hai’.
Who is Zara Naeem?

Dananeer Vs. Zara Naeem
One Twitter user shared her 2 cents on both of these girls’ fame. While she appreciated Zara Naeem’s hard work, she also undermined and belittled Dananeer. Her post turned into a ‘Dananeer Vs. Zara Naeem’ fiasco.
Let’s take a look at what she posted:
Ye hai hamaray maashray ka almia tbh! We always say, its the media thats wrong kyu k media sahi logoun ko promote nahi krta aur faltu logoun ko promote krta hai.
Hum kehtay hain k morning show wallay galat krte hain k kbhi bhi un logoun ko nahi bulatay jo— 🇵🇸ثمین (@NotSoMeanHaha) February 14, 2021
that we make people big or small!
Toh ye hum he hain jo decide krte hain k kya promote krna hai. And its okay, koi masla nahi iss mei, we all choose our own heroes. But i feel that the people who make the country proud globally/internationally, must get their due share of fame.

Ye ek parhi likhi qoum ki nishani hoti hai to value their assets.
Baki, as a qoum, hum sabko apni priorities ka toh pata he hai, toh kya faida mainstream media ko blame krne ka?!#copied

Her opinion has angered a vast majority on Twitter. While some handled her claims with light humor, others bashed her. People are claiming that she is pitting a woman against another woman. Could she have acknowledged Zara’s achievements without undermining Dananeer?
Let’s take a look at what netizens are saying:
A matchless match
looooool Pakistanis love undermining other people’s successes when it doesn’t fit their narrative. pls take a break from being so bitter. both women are successful but guess what? the girl with a media break through will be the entertainer? not the academic one. it’s v simple? https://t.co/TLMmCvB2la

Women vs. women
stop pinning girls against each other and let people enjoy things. https://t.co/IFJak4RdM2

FYI You can lift one woman up, without dragging another one down. https://t.co/WTFpdULDrC

Don’t step on others
It is in fact very much possible to appreciate the accomplishments of one woman without dragging another one down. Yes our priorities as a society are screwed up with what we make viral , but that point can be made without holding a young girl up for even more ridicule. https://t.co/Mi8bK2I2dL

Both are very different circumstances. One got appreciate for her efforts while, other much intended for humourous purpose.

In the name of social media
Honey, we use social media as an escape from hectic life. So ofc a "meme material" video would appeal everyone. Acknowledging such gems govt ka kaam hai. Hum tou khud yahan 3 cgpa le kar bethay hain! :/ https://t.co/n2oJk1L1Ln
