After news that ‘The Legend Of Maula Jatt‘ will finally hit theaters in 2022 had us all bated, Bilal Lashari finally has a release date for us.
As per Daily Pakistan, the Waar director revealed the movie’s release date.
Earlier news of the movie’s release date set for 2022 was shared by film trade analyst Ali Zain. He asserted that The Legend of Maula Jatt will grace the theatres on 30th September 2022. However, this was just his ‘educated guess’.

The film’s release has long been delayed since 2019. What was once said to be the most expensive Pakistani production to date, will finally hit theaters two years later.
Back in February 2020, Fawad Khan announced that The Legend of Maula Jatt release date is set for Eid-ul-Fitr which was May 13, 2021. This was after all the legal trouble was resolved.
The film’s release date was announced multiple times in the past two years. First, it was copyright issues with the producers of the original Maula Jatt starring veteran superstars Sultan Rahi and Mustafa Qureshi. The legal battle lasted some two years as the movie is a reboot of the 80s Punjabi classic Maula Jatt.
Later the producer of the original film, Sarwar Bhatti, finally gave them his blessings as the matter was resolved. Then there were issues due to the pandemic.
The Legend Of Maula Jatt cast megastars like Fawad Khan, Humaima Malik, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, and Gohar Rasheed. Looks like we’ll finally get to see this Punjabi action film in theaters soon.
