The YouTuber has officially become the biggest independent content creator on the platform.

Popular content creator, MrBeast has waged ‘war’ against Bollywood’s T-Series in a quest to reign supreme on YouTube.

Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, has officially become the biggest independent content creator on the platform, surpassing Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg (PewDiePie). The popular YouTuber has the second most-subscribed channel on YouTube. but it looks like that won’t be for long.

After achieving this huge milestone, Jimmy vows to overtake the Indian music label that has since dominated the platform with over 247 million subscribers.

MrBeast shared a screenshot of YouTube’s top two ranking channels on Twitter with a promise to his Swedish compatriot. He tweeted,

I’m doing this for Pewdiepie

Several fans have even began calculating and crunching the numbers as to when and how MrBeast will be able to overtake the Bollywood music label channel.

For a long time, PewDiePie held the position of the most-subscribed individual creator on the platform. However, the dynamic shifted when T-Series, an Indian music label, entered the race.

The battle between PewDiePie’s loyal fan base and the rising popularity of Bollywood fans led T-Series to claim the coveted number one spot on YouTube’s subscriber count in 2019.

Notably, MrBeast was a significant player in the battle to maintain PewDiePie’s position. He actively engaged in creative campaigns, including displaying a massive sign during the Super Bowl, urging viewers to “Subscribe to PewDiePie.”

Even though T-Series eventually clinched the top spot, PewDiePie continued to hold the distinction of being the most-subscribed independent content creator until MrBeast’s ascent to that title in the previous year.
