‘Don’t Look for Physics in My Songs’: Ali Zafar Responds to Viral Student

A high schooler in Karachi tried to be funny by writing the ‘Teefa in Trouble’ star’s song in a Physics exam.

Pop star Ali Zafar requested his young fans to focus on their studies and respect their teachers. The singer/songwriter’s message came after a Karachi student wrote lyrics to the Teefa in Trouble star’s single Jhoom on his Physics paper.

The video clip was shared by an FSc. examiner earlier this week, and has gone viral on social media.

The clip caught Ali Zafar’s eye, who tweeted in Urdu,

This viral video was posted on the WhatsApp app. I request my students not to look for physics in my songs, even though physics is everywhere, including in the lyrics of this song. But then respect the teaching and teachers while studying. 😇

Ali Zafar’s fans praised his wise words. Others suggested that he should help his young impressionable fans with some educational content.

One tweep wrote, “Ali Zafar you should take over the classes, maybe they may learn more from you”.

The student had tried to be funny with his teacher by answering an FSc. Physics examination question with the lyrics to Ali Zafar’s song, Jhoom. He had gone on a childish rant about how Isaac Newton is trapping students with his “azaab” concepts of Physics, while explaining that he had slept through his professor’s lectures in class and told the examiner to “leave him alone” before asking him to give grace marks for his cleverness.
