DOW University Rubbishes Reports of Its Notification For Valentine’s Day [Updated]

Right or wrong?

With Valentine’s Day just 10 days away, most of the in-love couples are already planning what they want to do with their munchkins (this is where the part where all the singles throw-up).

The planning and execution of a perfect Valentine’s Day date is not a problem for unmarried couples; the real problem begins when desi kids have to tell their VERY desi parents where they are headed to.

Most educational institutions in the city are already dreading the day. Some of them are even going the extra mile to prevent students from celebrating Valentine’s Day.

A couple of white lies here and there for your loved ones are okay, right? Well, Dow University doesn’t think so!

Recently, they took the ‘responsibility’ of warning parents of their kids’ white lies for V-Day in their own hands. Here’s what they sent out to them:

Lord have mercy, for Dow has no mercy on its students. Have they not heard of the term “snitches get stitches?” Nobody likes a tattletale, but people on Twitter are getting a kick out of it.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time Dow University has taken a step against Valentine’s day.

Some three years ago, DOW University put a ban on its students wanting to celebrate Valentine’s day. One of the parents, who allegedly worked for a foreign embassy in Karachi, took a stand against these absurd bans by the university. These parents believed that the students’ activities after university hours and outside of the university premises should not be the management’s concern.

Do you think what Dow University did to combat Valentine’s culture among its students is right? Or would you suggest a different approach towards this ‘problem?’ Let us know in the comments below!

Update: The university and its students have pointed out that no such notification was issued by the administration.

  1. Oh bro its forged, there’s no such notification
You can even check its official website if you want to.

  2. This is such a biased and baseless article. All DUHS is doing is clearing it’s name for lies and slanderous excuses the students may make. Please do not force your westernized-idolized libertarian perspective down people’s throat, thanks.
