After conquering Kings Landing (burn to the ground really), Daenerys is headed to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Variety announced that Emilia Clarke is set to join the Secret Invasion cast.
This mark’s the ‘Mother of Dragons‘ second venture with Disney. She was previously a part of mega-franchise Star Wars with the prequel film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
She’s not the only onscreen monarch set to make her way to the superhero realm. The Crown’s Olivia Colman is also set to join the new series coming to Disney+.

The series will follow Fury and Talos, two agents we met during the events of Captain Marvel. Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will be reprising these roles.

We already know Kingsley Ben-Adir will play our antagonist. As for Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman, their roles are being kept all hush. Marvel Comics has a plethora of characters so making an educated guess is harder than you’d think.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained to ComicBook.com that ‘the focus will be on the story itself, not cramming in as many cameos as possible.’
“Well, there were more characters in the Secret Invasion comic series than there were in Endgame so, no, … It’s not that but it very much is a showcase for Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelson and tapping into the paranoia elements of the Secret Invasion comic series that was great with the twists and turns that that took. So, that’s certainly our focus more than, ‘Can we cram in more characters than Endgame? like publishing?’” said Feige.
Kyle Bradstreet will write and executively produce the Secret Invasion series. The series was in development as far back as September. At the time, Disney confirmed the news during their investor day presentation in December.
