Why fix what isn’t broken?

Home Alone

We are getting a remake of the classic Home Alone, and none other than Disney is behind all this. The first two movies have a cult following, while not many have seen the rest (there were two others in case you’re wondering).

No word on how many of the Home Alone installments Disney plans on rebooting.

Disney announced that it will reboot ‘Home Alone’ for its streaming platform Disney Plus. The corporation also announced that it will remake a couple of films as well.

Home Alone

The 1990 film Home Alone cast Macaulay Culkin in the lead role. The film has a cult following with an audience rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5/10 on IMDb. A lot of people are questioning why fix what isn’t broken.

Disney has not yet shared how or when the film will be remade, or who will be cast in the remake. (good luck meeting Macaulay Culkin).

Lately, Disney has been making a lot of live-action remakes of it’s own classics as well. While people are loving live-action adaptions of The Lion King, Aladdin did not get as much love. Meanwhile, they also have reboots of The Little Mermaid, and Mulan lined up.
