The leading Turkish actor garnered worldwide fame essaying the titular role in the historical drama serial Diriliş: Ertuğrul.

Now he’s set to excite his millions of fans worldwide with another historical drama. The Ertuğrul star teased a behind-the-scene photograph from his upcoming drama serial Barbaroslar. He captioned the post “#Barbaroslar”.
The sight of the Ertuğrul star in a period piece has fans bubbling with anticipation. Fans are excited about the prospect of seeing him in ‘medieval action’ again.
Previously, Engin Altan Duzyatan confirmed that he signed this new project. He shared the news on social media that shooting for Barbaroslar commenced.
Now he even gave us a glimpse of the action yet to come.
He also shared a picture of the clapperboard marked with the name of his upcoming historical drama Barbaroslar. The series will follow the adventures of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha, the first Captain of the Ottoman Empire.
It was previously reported that shooting for the historical drama was stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, after mid-May, shooting commenced for the project. Producers reportedly plan to get this series on-screen by September.
Many foreign experts that have worked in TV series such as Vikings and Homeland, came to Turkey to create the action series.
The Turkish star was last seen in the Turkish drama Kursun. His character was drastically different compared to the historical characters he’s become known for.
