The Ertuğrul craze refuses to die down but at this point, we are starting to feel that Pakistanis are taking their obsession a little too far. Apparently, a group of protesters showed up on horses to support Palestine.

Holding the flag of Palestine, the protesters, both men, and women march on the streets of Karachi to show their support for Palestinians. Let’s take a look at the video.

The clip is going viral on social media and netizens are deeming it as ‘Ertuğrul inspired protest’. While some find it funny and are taking it lightly, others think it wasn’t appropriate to ‘derail religion and figures that are dear to the religious community.’

What is happening in Palestine is beyond evil and we stand with them in this fight for justice and freedom. But trying to imitate scenes from a period drama to support a serious cause seems a little too offensive. One netizen wrote,

“They’re making a fool out of themselves by putting out this show, while you’re doing the same by sticking so adamantly to your narrative of trying to derail religion and figures that are dear to religious community.”

Another netizen said that it is a mockery of Ertuğrul’s efforts and struggles. Here are some of the comments.
