Dirilis Ertugrul breakout star actress Esra Bilgic, or ‘Halime Sultan‘ as people know her, has started learning Urdu as her fame in Pakistan continues to skyrocket.
The Turkish actress gained a cult following when Ertugrul Ghazi, the Urdu-dubbed version of Turkish period drama Dirilis Ertugrul, began airing in Pakistan. The love has even swayed the actress to want to visit Pakistan.

Looks like she’s brushing up on her Urdu skills before she actually comes to visit. A video of Esra Bilgic saying common Urdu phrases is making round online.
The viral clip is actually a promo for Jazz, as the Turkish starlet is a brand ambassador for the telecommunication network.
The now-viral video also shows Esra translating those phrases into Turkish and English. The Ramos actress wraps up the video with a slogan for Jazz.
Since becoming the brand ambassador for Jazz the Turkish starlet can be seen everywhere from their TVCs to their Independence day promo.

She was initially cast in a photo shoot for a Pakistani magazine before other Pakistani corporations decided to feature her for endorsements. Esra Bilgic is also the brand ambassador for Pakistani mobile phone manufacturer QMobile, as well as a clothing brand Khaadi.
While some local artists have opposed casting a foreign actress for endorsements, most of the biz has been supportive.
