It has been a while since Pakistani started flooding Ertugrul stars’ Instagram posts with comments – specifically Turkish actress Esra Bilgic. Best known for playing the role of Halima Sultan in the Turkish historical epic, the actress has once again come under ‘criticism’ from Pakistani fans who are demanding her not to wear ‘inappropriate’ outfits.

Pakistani fans’ obsession with the Turkish drama has reached a point where they consider Ertugrul to be sacred part of our culture (so don’t even think about critiquing the show).
The obsession does not end with the show, as Pakistani fans believe the actors and actresses, playing the characters on the show, should not be allowed to dress up in western outfits.
It seems likes these ‘fans’ cannot seem to understand the definition or concept of ‘acting’.

The Turkish actress has been receiving such lectures and criticism from Pakistani fans ever since the show started airing on PTV. Esra eventually turned off the comments from all her Instagram posts.
Hoping people would have learned their lesson now and stopped harassing her, Esra turned the comments back on. Talk about a bad move.

As soon as people found out that they can comment again, the Pakistani fans showed up and criticized the actress on her latest post, calling her polka dot summer dress ‘inappropriate’.
One fan even came out to defend her and tried to talk some sense into this Halime fan, but we doubt he understood.
It is one thing to be a fan, but another thing to harass people on social media. This constant moral policing of celebrities needs to stop.
