Zimbabwe wants revenge against Pakistan team at the upcoming T20i World Cup match for giving them a “fake” Mr. Bean instead of the real character back in 2016. India may be arch-rivals but it looks like Zimbabwe have a score to settle with Pakistan come this Thursday at Perth.
On Tuesday, Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) official Twitter account posted pictures of the team in preparation for the upcoming match against Zimbabwe following loss to India at Melbourne.
One angry Zimbabwean supporter, Ngugi Chasura, on Twitter responded to the men in green’s tweet, telling them that he has not forgiven Pakistan for giving them a desi Mr. Bean impersonator instead of the real one played by British actor Rowan Atkinson.
As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you…you once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr Bean Rowan ..we will settle the matter tommorow just pray the rains will save you…#ZIMVSPAK

“As Zimbabweans we wont forgive you,” the man wrote. “You once gave us that Fraud Pak Bean instead of Mr. Bean Rowan. We will settle the matter tomorrow just pray the rains will save you.”
Who is Pak Bean?
The Pakistani Mr. Bean is a comedian by the name of Muhammad Asif. He is originally from Kharadar, Karachi. Asif became a viral celebrity due to his uncanny resemblance to the British sit-com character.
He went onto appear as Mr. Bean in a series of commercials for HBL, including this one with Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi.
In 2016, Pakistan sent Asif to perform at the Harare Agricultural Show as the iconic character. Hilariously, the Zimbabwean thought he was the real Mr. Bean as people rushed over to take pictures with him.
That’s not all, the desi Mr. Bean even got an official protocol. Check it out.

It appears that Zimbabweans have not forgiven Pakistan all these years for the “betrayal”. Pakistanis on Twitter are not sure whether to laugh or be worried about tomorrow’s game. Here are a few hilarious reactions to it:

People of Zimbabwe wanted Mr Bean to make appearance at an event, what they got was "Mr Pak Bean". Now they are upset and want revenge against pak cricket team.
Can't blame them, this is betrayal of highest order 🤣pic.twitter.com/OPp5TPqX4O

This is condemnable. Pakistan shouldnt have sent Pak Bean to Zimbabwe when the real Mr Bean literally exists and is free these day. pic.twitter.com/00cFgwszhY
