Pakistan has witnessed so many cases of child deaths from abuse and neglect in the past few years. And most of them were reported from Kasur.
Another incident of this tyranny has occurred and Kasur is yet again the center of it. Apparently a father sold his 12-year-old daughter for Rs. 500 on Sunday, January 5.
For just a petty sum of 500 rupees, a father let another man sexually abuse his daughter. That statement in itself sounds disgusting, let alone imagine.
According to reports, the mother of the victim filed a complaint against the two men. She said that while she was away for work, her husband had called a man to their house and let him sexually abuse their minor daughter after receiving Rs. 500. When she returned, her daughter told her about the incident. Both the suspects however, managed to escape.

When police rushed the victim to a hospital for medical examination, they concluded that it was an incident of attempted rape.
It was later revealed that the suspect who paid the amount to the father had earlier been booked in a child abuse case in 2013 but got off without being punished.
A new case has been filed against him and the the runaway father under sections 376 (of rape), 371-A (selling person for the purposes of prostitution), 371-B (buying person for the purposes of prostitution) of PPC. The police have been conducting raids to arrest them and hopefully, justice will be served.
