Singer Rabi Pirzada has made a first public appearance since her personal videos and photos leaked online two weeks back, causing a lot of embarrassment for her.

In her video, Rabi revealed that she had lodged a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against the privacy breach and that the agency’s cybercrime wing has arrested two people in this connection.

The caption of the video message released on her official Twitter handle read:

“It was hard to get a message from Rabi after this incidence; she is totally shattered. She requests to pray for her May Allah save us all from evil. Ameen.”

The singer-cum-model was donned in black at the time of recording the message. She quoted Quranic verses and sought repentance for her previous actions. She also warned that those who shared her video for pleasure will be “punished in this life and the hereafter because Allah’s grasp is severe.”

Thanks people who supported her

Rabi thanked the women who came out in support of her. However, she opposed the use of hashtag #MeraJismMeriMarzi to rationalize what she previously did. She says that the human body is subject to the wishes of Allah.

She also announced to quit showbiz and vowed never to return, as many other artists have done in the past.

The singer said she would remain connected with her passion by performing Sufi kalam or religious-oriented music.

The artist said she would stay connected to painting as well but will only depict non-figurative subjects in her visual art.
