FIA Summons YouTuber for Allegedly Leaking Aamir Liaquat’s Private Video

The suspect is said to be the custodian of the late televangelist’s video archives.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Wing has summoned a Lahore-based YouTuber who has been accused of releasing compromising recordings of the late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Local media reported that the suspect, who goes by the name ‘Fazeel’, posted sensitive videos of the late TV personality on the internet.

According to sources, Fazeel was the televangelist’s personal secretary and the guardian of all his video archives.

The FIA stated that while the YouTuber will be asked about the source of the videos, its Cybercrime Wing will re-interrogate the suspect.

Earlier this month, Dania Shah, the widow of Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, was arrested by the Cybercrime Wing after she was accused of making and leaking private videos of Aamir Liaquat without his consent.

Her bail plea was rejected by the Karachi court and she is now under FIA detention.

Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away on 9 June under unknown circumstances. This was several months after the videos became viral on social media. The Inaam Ghar host was found dead at his residence in Karachi after suffering from despair and mental stress. He was accused of making serious claims against his third wife, Dania Shah.

The nation was shocked by the news of the death of the ex-televangelist. His funeral was held at the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine on 10 June.

Conspiracy theorists suspected foul play because of his untimely death and the circumstances prior to it.

An individual then petitioned the Sindh High Court for permission to exhume the body and perform a postmortem examination. Although the petition was subsequently allowed, the decision to have a postmortem was overturned by the court.
