After two other ZEE5 web series garnered quite some praise, the Indian streaming platform released another collaborative series with Pakistani artists, Dhoop Ki Dewar.
This Indian web series was the first of five web series, that the Indian OTT platform collaborated with Pakistani artists on, which made headlines. The reason being that real-life couple Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly were cast together for the cross-border romance.

Written by Umera Ahmed, Dhoop Ki Dewar is a story of two teenagers, Sarah and Vishaal. The series seems to unwrap the love-hate relationship between Pakistanis and Indians.
While we only see a monologue by Sajal Aly in the teaser we still get a good idea of the theme. Based on the trailer the web series talks about how there’s no winning in war. Can a victory built on the lives of some and the future of others really be cherished?

Pakistani director Haseeb Hassan is at the helm of the project. He’s known for works like Mann Mayal, Diyar-e-Dil, and Alif. The director also made his directorial debut with the Pakistani film Parwaaz hai Junoon.
