For Real?! Shehbaz Sharif Spent Over 75 Million To Repair His Swimming Pool at PM House

PTI member Imran Ismail calls out Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for spending Rs. 75 million on his swimming pool at the PM house. PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz denies these claims, calling out media outlets for spreading “fake news”.

The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) regime has come under intense public scrutiny. Nicknamed as the “imported government”, people are criticizing PML-N and the Sharif family for allegedly spending millions on luxuries. And doing so while Pakistan is going through the worst economic crunch in recent memory.

As an example of their misuse of power, the government razed a football stadium in Sargodha for a PML-N public rally.

However, it is Imran Ismail’s claims that has riled up the public. The former governor shared a video of renovation work going on the swimming pool at the Prime Minister House by orders of Shehbaz Sharif.

In Shehbaz Sharif’s defense, it is summer time. The guy probably has plans for a pool party after ousting Imran Khan from the office. But spending 75 millions is a bit alarming.

“Shehbaz’s showbiz is limited to his luxuries and favors,” he writes in his tweet. “Less than a month after coming into government, the Prime Minister’s House swimming pool was repaired at a cost of Rs. 75 million.”

PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz denies these claims, calling out TV channels for allegedly putting out “fake news”. However, Imran Ismail is backing his claims, stating he has more videos as proof.

Meanwhile, the Information Minister of Pakistan, Mariyum Aurangzeb, has not issued a statement on the matter.
